Why not get a reaction innovation sweet beaver. Those are some great baits. My Dicks Sporting Goods has even been selling them now, check out your local Dicks, and see if they have them. Color wise go with a california 420, greenpumpkin, watermelonred, or sprayed grass for clear/slightly stained water. For heavy stained water/muddy, or overcast days, go with black/blue, penetration, or my favorite hematoma. (Yeah, I know, the names are great )

As far as fishing them goes, I find them to work best in thick pads, or heavy weeds. Basically because of their profile, it allows them to slip through weeds/pads easily. I pretty much always use them with a pegged bullet weight(enough weight to break through the weeds). I'll cast them to a peice of cover, usually a weed patch, and let the bait sit for a few secs, then give it a few hops, and let it sit, and just repeat process. Truly a fish catcher. Try them you won't be dissapointed. Oh, and hook wise, I believe I rig them with a size 3/0 EWG.

there both the same thing arent they

There are alot of copy cats to the Sweet Beaver and they all work the same.  I just use a generic beaver that is sold through Barlow's, called the Yo-Mama, its like $14.50 for a pack of 50 which is more cost effecient than the name brands and I haven't noticed a difference in any of them performance wise.

if you have ever dropped a live crawfish into the water, u'll notice that it sinks slowly. I theorize that the Beaver baits mimic a crawfish perfectly and the wide body helps slow the sink rate and it'll kinda glide through the water. Although, i've used them on t-rigs, c-rigs, and dropshots with great success.  All about experimenting to get the most out of a bait.
