i know when you are flippin you press down the release, take the line with your hand and underthrow back and forth, releasing line that is in your hand... i think thats right?....now what is pitchin?

let out enough line so that the lure reaches your reel. take the lure in your freehand, and let the rod tip down toward the water. then raise the rod tip quickly and let go of the lure as you do this. the lure will glide right above the water untill it softly drops in. this is my favorite way of fishing.

flippin is where you grab the line between the reel and the first rod guide with your free hand and then you do about the same motion as pitching and as the lure leaves you let the line go out of your hand.

i never use flipping, because pitching lets the lure go farther, and it is much easier to use.

alright, good lookin playmaker.  i just went outfront and tried pitchin..got it to go out pretty far. nice for shorter distances than casting.  i'll just stick to flippin for real short distances
