fall bass fishing

Featured Replies

I live in Michigan and have been doing some fall bass fishing and can't seem to get the big bites that I got in the summer--so what lures and techniques to use in the fall because I have a tournament coming up.

I love fall cause I love to power fish. I start chunkin spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, and jigs like crazy.

it's not quite fall yet bassingballer.  Though it's comin quick....im also from mi and taking a fishing trip up to Houghton Lake in MI.....and it will be alot closer to fall :P

So, yea...i ask the same question   :D

FALL!!! it's still 4 weeks away by my calender.

although, it sure felt kinda like fall this evening here in north eastern Ok.

Cool front passed through this weekend and dropped the temps about 10 degrees.

Come on fall!!

Im also a michigan angler, and i know exaclty what you are talking about. First of all, I need to know when and where that tournament is, If it in september, the water should start cooling down, and you can use faster baits. Try a large deep diving crankbait or spinner baits along weed edges to target whatever fish are active. Once you get a bite, slow down, mark the area, and beat it to death with a worm or tube. In the fall, the fish should group up. You should be able to boat 5-6 fish in a group.

COME ON FALL !!!

Man I cant wait.Spinnerbaits, jigs and crankbaits!!No more wimpy finesse worms or drop shots......thank goodness!!

I won't start feeling fall weather until late October. It's a good time to fish in shalow water. My personal favorites are spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and suspending jerkbaits.
