Featured Replies

I'm lookin for a way to find bass now that the weather is starting to turn cold. My last few trips have been without a fish!!!

Cold weather? Where do you live?  This should be one of the best times of the year.  As the water cools into the preferred range the bass activity will pick up.  The jig n pig/plastic is one of the all time great cold water bass lures, but I find that jerk baits work well also.

Try Slow Rolling a Big Blck Spinnerbait with big Colorado Lakes, Also try Swimming jigs.

Follow the bass up the creeks and coves and throw suspending jerkbaits, Fish mainlake points with jigs and a deep diving crankbait. But remeber to take the water temp. into consideration, if the water's cold fish slow, if it's warm use reaction baits.

Hope this helps.

Things are getting pretty chilly here in Ohio...it's definitely October weather now.

I had a lot of success today.  Caught 4 bass, all decent fish, including a 5 pounder.  I was using a Zoom tube (watermelon) that hooked 3 of them and caught the last (and biggest) on a FLW 5/16 finesse jig w/ rattle, in black/chartruese w/ a chartruese grub trailer.

I live in northern Missouri. Are you reffering to soft jerk baits. What is a good color, retrieve to use?
