hooked fingers

Featured Replies

Ok...I have told this one before on here. Tritonman, his son and I were fishing on a camping trip. This was our first day on the water, so we had 3 more days to go...lol We were fishing around some overgrown weed beds when my baby torpedo got hooked in the weeds. Well I tugged and pulled so hard that it came flying towards me. I closed my eyes and turned my head as to protect my eyes. It hit me on the side of my face. I turned to see where it landed, but did not see it anywhere in the boat. His son, then said...OMG!! I turned to look at him and felt the lure haning from my ear. I had two of the 3 hooks stuck in my ear passed the barbs. I had Tritonman cut and try to pull and push them out of my ear. He couldn't do it, so I did it myself. I pushed them far enough for him to grab with pliers and pull them out. He and his son could not believe how much pain I could take ::)...lol....I wanted to cry so bad :o...lmao. Took an hour for me to push them through. We all thought our weekend camping was going to be over before it began....lol. Now I have 3 earings in my left ear ;D....lmao It is amazing that you NEVER feel it go into the skin but hurts like burning blazes coming out.

I took my 10 year old nephew bass fishing for the first time. What did I get for it? Hooked in the head (hence the name).

It was a 3/0 Gamy EWG. It hurts just thinking about it. Luckily my buddy showed up and was able to push it through, snip the tip and back it out.  It was DEEP :P
