Bass Fishing Matrix

Featured Replies

Have any of you guys ever used this "Bass Fishing Matrix" from BASSRESEARCH.COM?  I find it qn interesting idea, but didn't want to spend $30 until I got some feedback.  Its probably more helpful for less experienced fishermen like me than some of you guys who fish more often and longer at it.  Anyway, if anyone has any info/experience with this product, I would appreciate some feedback!

I own it, and it works.  There are ALWAYS variables that will screw you, but this compact little guide gives you a very valuable starting point for a day of fishing.  It's like anything else with our great sport ... nothing is set in stone, but the more knowledge you have, the greater advantage you have.  Spend the money, and give it a try.  It's also guaranteed for a period of time, so get it when you can use it.

This post is almost a year old, but after stumbling across the Bass Fishing Matrix I found this short thread already existed and thought I would re-kindle the question.  Any opinions on this?  Who owns one and thinks it's a worth the $30... or not worth it?  Like abelfisher I am a lesser experienced fisherman and always looking for things that will help me improve.

Thanks, TC

I have heard of this but am not really familiar with it.  Do you have a link?

Yes, the link is: http://bassresearch.com/  Also, reading their FAQ's it says this is only for largemouth, and will not work for smallmouth because the SM behave and react differently to their environment.  That's sort of a bummer!

I've heard of it and been sorely tempted to buy it several times, but like Abel and srv1990 I wondered if it was a legitimate bassin' tool. After reading jgannon's response,I may just get it.I mean,I spend that much everytime I go to the store on something to do with bass fishing or boating.Sounds very interesting.

One other thing to add.Several months ago I bought an online book called "Largemouth Bass Extreme Guide".I paid $30.00 for it.What a disappointment! It wasn't that the information was bad,it was just stuff I've known about for years. It might be a good buy for someone that is just starting out and has never bass fished. If you don't fall into that category, save your money.

I dunno.  If I was certain as to all the 7 conditions before each cast, I don't think I would need their matrix.  Also I looked at their 5 free tips and they were kind of basic info.

I think I'll pass.

thanks for the link.
