Comin Back from Winter

Featured Replies

what seems to usually work for everybody after winter temperatures and spring starts to roll in?

Once the pre-spawn starts, anything that covers a good bit of water.  Medium-sized spinnerbaits, shallow running cranks, etc.  However, I have had good success, especially last year, throwing topwaters all day, right around mid-March (in NW Georgia, mind you).

So, it all depends.  I have also had great success with suspending jerkbaits.  Those are slowly becoming one of my new go-to baits.  I have had suspending bass, and bass that were in the weeds literally go kamikazi on the bait!  LOL

So, those are a few of my baits that I use.

Red Rattletrap, wacky rig stick bait

Crawdad Rat-L-Trap,jig,tube,flat sided crank bait(craw color),and a jerkbait.

1. Crawfish/gold 1/2 oz. Rat-L-Trap

2. Chrome/black and Clown colored Rattlin Rogue suspending jerkbaits

3. Tennessee Shad and Chart./Black Lee Sisson Woody 2 shallow crankbait

I have also had some luck with smallie beavers and flukes.
