Would this indicate a spawned out fish. Does the term spawned out mean a male or female cause I caught a chunky Bluegill and as I was taking it off the hook it sprayed "Fertilizer" on my leg

I don't know if there is a scientific way to tell but a bass that is really long and extremely skinny is a good sign of a spawned out fish. They really look emaciated until they get feeding again.

As for the bluegill,...change your cologne if it was an unpleasant experience.

the bluegill are spawning in my neck of the woods.  It's get even time for the bass, the are feeding heavily with topwaters and jerk baits doing especially well.
