Bass'n always on the brain

Featured Replies

So who else is sitting (on a GORGEOUS Friday afternoon mind you), at work and it's almost time to go? Who always is thinking about fishing and finding them? Any of you have it this bad? ;D

I decided from a straw, Microsoft paint, and a picture of an aquarium peacock bass, that this would help my angst lol. I even made the bass "swim" right by a stand made from paper and a stapler.

Have a fun weekend :)

Yeah you got it bad.

I remember when I lived on long Island.  the weather generally moved from west to east.  I worked west (just outside NY city) and lived and fished east (suffolk county long island).  The building I worked in was tall and I see Manhattan clearly.  I was always checking the weather reports and looking out over the city.  If a front was comming in and I had the bass jones real bad, I would tell my supervisor I didn't feel well and race home.  I had my boat docked on the water I fished and would get to fishing just as the front was approaching.

I would catch em like crazy.

Those were fun days.

Now I'm retired and can fish whenever I want at a lake 5 minutes from my house.  It's great of course, but there is something about stealing away from work to go fishing that is one of lifes precious moments.

enjoy.
