We fished a local park today. They stock the lake with bass, panfish and channel cats. Well I want to catch the bass. The are around teh shore has a lot of weeds in the water I do not see any other cover, no fallen trees, no grass. I used a small 2" grub goin for some panfish I caught a small bass. I switched to a 5" cotton candy Zoom senko type bait and caught one more small one. Both of them were at the shore line. I got nomore bites or anything. What baist should I be looking to try? The water is clear, the shore you can see sunies, oscar and the 2 bass I caught. Where else should I fish this water? thanks

you might try a berekley power worm (7")  or some gulp sinking minnows. also did you notice any rocks on the bottom? if you did try throwing a crawfish.

In clear water I use pumpkin based colors or watermelon. A chartreuse tail often enhances the appeal of those two very natural colors. Dip a cotton string in chartreuse dye and lay it down the sides of a soft plastic, lifting it off carefully to put a slight tinge of chartreuse line on any natural colored plastic. I also spot dye rows of spots using a Q-tip.
