I read an article this morning talking about a Sand Bass but i've never heard of one.  Is it called something else?  If not where are they located?

I think they call a sand bass a striper but i could be wrong? Its like a speck or crappie or stumpnocker is a rockbass its just a local name for a fish.

          I think that it is another name for Rock bass. I have also heard them being called stone fish. I am not sure.

Sand bass, or sandies, as some call them, are another name for white bass.

It is just a white bass.  Sand bass is like someone down here in Texas calling a Crawfish a mud bug.

Its definately a white bass. I like to use small white spinnerbaits. Strike King Mini King is my favorite. about 1/8 oz.
