How should i fish this lake tonight?

Featured Replies

O.K. Tonight i am going to bne fishing for bass in a  lake that is not normally fished much. Last time i went i caught 2 smaller fish but did not have much line on my rod. I used a bait that looked like a small bluegill to catch the fish.

Ok my question is How should i fish the lake that has not been fished often but the water is pretty muddy in some spots. They did some construction around the lake and now its kinda muddy. I think i read somewhere dark baits. But should i use a jig head hook or just a regular hook and hook it through the top. Sorry if im not informed on the different rigs but i ussaly just fish for bluegill or catfish. I have now  just got hooked on true bass fishing.

If tonight means that you'll be fishing at dark, I would use topwaters or spinner baits. These are about the easiest to fish in the dark.

Dark colored baits help in muddy water but it helps even more if you use bigger baits in my opinion. Remember that in muddy water the fish will usually be right up against structure such as bushes, logs, rock, and maybe a low hanging tree limb.

Now that you are hooked on bass fishing you'll never be able to get enough of it. You'll spend $500 a year on fishing gear and still think you don't have enough stuff. ;)

Good luck.

exactly

Bring a finnesse jig with a rattler on it. colors could include black, black/blue, black/red, etc. what you want to attach to the finnesee jig is going to be slightly differnt than in the daytime. instead of trying to match up to two colorwise, try a contrasting color (ex. a black jig with a bright red tube.)

good luck, and tell us how you did :);):D >:(
