shakey head

Featured Replies

Hey, I was wondering what your favorite jig head is for shakey head. I was going to try the spot remover (not the pro model) but it looks like the bait could slip off. Is this true?

I use BIte-me jigheads but I also use the spot removers, the bait usually stays in place but I always bite off 1/4 inch to make it flush with the head.

About the Spot Remover.

The worm does not slip off when you bite a little off the worm first and rig it properly. Put the worm on the peg and then lay the hook along side the worm to see where it needs to enter the worm. Then just put the tip of the hook in worm. Do not expose the hook on the other side of the worm.

#1 Reaction Innovation screwed up jig head (my #1 shakey head but expensive)

#2 Bite-Me jig head (only heads I have found good for 3X worms)

#3 Home Made Shakey Jig (cheap)

* Spot Remover pro model (trying them out this spring)

* Ikey Heads (trying them out this spring)

I like the spring keeper it doesn't let the bait slip and there is no glue needed.

For 1/8oz I always have  R.I. Screwed up jighead, Spot Stalker jighead, and Spotstickers

And for 1/4oz I only throw the Buckeye lures Spot Remover

I only use the Dave's Tournament Tackle spot hopper in 1/4 and 1/8oz. It's basically a spot remover with better components IMO. Also instead of that screw lookin' thing on the spot remover it has spring so the bait will not slip at all.
