LB and wind ?

Featured Replies

We prefished a lake 3 times and caught  a decent weight each time catching bass from lilly pads, lay downs and docks. On tournament day the weather was cloudy with 2-3 waves. We stuck with our pattern and only managed a measly 9 pounds.[35 place].Where did the big largies go and how do you go about catching them ????please help.

Many times you'll want to fish windblown banks for bass. the wind will move zooplankton in turn which will attract baitfish to the area, and where there are baitfish many times there are bass.  I enjoy fishing windblown areas because many fisherman do avoid wind.  Most the time i'll use a spinnerbait or crankbait,  and if its overcast i may even throw a topwater given the wind isn't to fierce.

Well in my experiences on a cloudy day fish will tend to wander or cruise the water if it's cloudy they won't be stuck right next to the structure but should be in the area. When did u pre-fish ? if you stuck all your fish maybe the got smart or were sore from being caught? Just a few ideas.
