One tip is don't try using your teeth.  :-[ After that idea i went back to pliers again and it worked. You just have to really tug at it to get it to come out.

The problem is that they install the pin and then clear coat the lure. At least that is my observation. The first one I got I pulled the pin out with pliers and the top of the bait chipped off.

I got two of these baits....The first one worked ok but the second one I cant get the pin out....I guess its a wakebait now

If you can't get them out from the bottom with pliers try taking a small nail or something that you can set on top of the pin and try to hit it and break it free.

Yes, the pins are basically "glued" in under the finish.

As Thad mentioned, the best way to free the pin is to push it loose from the top using a small nail and pliers.  This will keep damage to the finish on top at a minimum.

Then, all you should need is a small needle nose pliers to get the pin in and out as it should move more freely.

Mine came out fine when I pulled it out on the bottom with pliers. as others have said try using something small and push it out from the top.

Yep, push it from the top is what I do.In fact the pin on my crappie swimbait was actually to loose so I bent it slightly to keep it in there tighter.
