Water flow data

Featured Replies

Can the water flow data from the dam on my lake help me in any way? The lake I fish is located above the dam. I have heard a lot about fishing below a dam and the flow rate helping position fish, but is there any advantage when fishing above the dam? Here is the link to the data from my local lake.

Any time they are releasing water at the dam in increases current in the lake. With the increase of current fish will position on the downside of any current break(ie, points, underwater structure, logs, ect, ect) and wait for food to be washed by. I have found with the increase of current the bite increases.

Thanks Triton21. Am I reading the numbers right from the website above? It looks to me like the flow is always the same for the most part with no big increases?
