Chatterbaits

ive now got two chatterbaits. a black and blue one, and a white and red one. the black one has a black nickel head and blade and hook, and the white one has a red head and blade and hook. i took the skirt and trailer off it and put on a shad colored soft plastic jerkbait.

anyways, how well do chatterbaits produce?

they produce very well if you presont it rite.

either lift drop on the botom or feel steady or jerk the fish will alloways smoke it.

They are like most baits.  They have their days where they will tear em up, and other days when you can't buy a strike.

I have a bunch of them and fish them all different ways.

My current favorite is to trim the skirt like a jig then use a Yamamoto swim senko as a trailer.   I vary the retrieve with a ripping motion, let it drop, jerk jerk, burn it.   Get the picture?  They are fun and versatile baits, that work well in a variety of conditions.
