Kinami hard baits

Featured Replies

Do any of you guys have any experience with the Kinami hard baits?

I saw that my local Academy Sports had a few of them merchandised in with the rest of the cranks, and they looked like they had a pretty nice finish, with good detail. For right around $3, it looked from the surface to be a good plug for the money-  I was kind of surprised they weren't more.

Just wondered if anyone had used them, and what you thought about them.

I haven't used them, but they do look nice.  For $3 a piece, I would've just bought them and if they didn't work--no biggy---My baitmonkey does love his crankbaits though!

I'm curious to see other posts as well.

I have a Kinami Popper, and it is excellent.  Very nicely made, catches fish for me better than the rapala popper.

I have several dozen of the Kinami hard baits and I can not think of any negative issues that I have ever had with them.

Their colors are nice too.

I've fished their lipless cranks and they aren't bad.  I like the profile of them.

I got another boardmember here to pick me up a box full when they were on sale a couple years ago at Academy, since we dont have one here. I have no problems with them and catch plenty of fish on them....especially the crank. And unlike other 'cheap' lures, I didnt see an immediate need to switch out the trebles which is a plus.

Very good point. I didn't switch out my hooks either. They were pretty decent right out of the package.
