hEY GUYS, i JUST STARTED LARGEMOUTH BASS FISHING AGAIN HERE IN bOULDER cOLORADO.  wE HAVE THIS AMAZING FISHING SPOT HERE, THAT IS ABOUT 2 SQUARE MILES, AND HAS 20, YES, 20 LAKES.  IVE BEEN CATCHING 2-3.5 POUNDERS IN THERE REGULARLY AND IVE SEEN A 5.5 POUNDER COME OUT OF THERE AS WELL.  (oops just realized i was typing in caps, sorry)

Anyway, I've caught bass on buzzbaits, floating rapalas, weedless frogs, and Carolina rigged plastic worms, all at different times of day, but i feel like I could  be catching more fish.  

When fishing on a bright sunny hot day, should I be fishing in deeper water with lures that go a little deeper?  Or should I be fishing closer to shore in the shade, with a buzzbait?  I've heard the biggest bass are caught at noon or in bright sunlight, contrary to popular opinion.

What about at dusk?  At say, 7:00-9:00 on a hot summer night.  Buzzbaits?

If I'm fishing a lake that only gets to be about 12 feet deep, when are largemouth bass more likely to be out in deeper water?  I've heard they move deeper as the sun gets brighter, but I've also heard they move close to shore in the shade and weeds.

I want to make sure I'm using the correct lures, at the correct times of day, in the correct locations from shore(no boats on the lakes i fish).

Try using the buzzbait in the morning and evening hours, and during the day, try fishing deeper with a spinnerbait, and use some soft plastics around cover, such as lillypads and downed logs.

Seriously, you have some sweet spots there.

Relax.  Experiment.

The fish will do different things on different days.

Have all levels of the water colum covered and experiment with retrieves.
