rising water?

Featured Replies

Not sure how the rest of you folks out there are being effected by this early summer rain fest we are having here in Oklahoma, and maybe you're not.  Either way, any tips on catching rising water bass?  Now that the bass have more water to roam around in and it is a little darker in color what are the best ways to get their attention?  Any hints as far as baits, colors, and techniques would be appreciated.  Thanks everyone

Fished Bone Creek Lake up here yesterday from 9:00 AM to noon.  Water came up 6" in those three hours.  Caught fish on frogs over newly submerged vegitation and senkos up against the bank.  They had a forty boat tourney and looked like everyone was catching fish that was fishing shallow.

went out today and killed them on a watermelon with red fleck trick worm.  Lots of dinks but the 6+ #er ended the day very nicely.  Didn't do well at all on the color that I normally use at this place but who knows, all that matters is I was lucky enough to have what they wanted.  Fishing was great!
