I have been reading "Sowbelly" and ran across this little tidbit - it appears that the National Fish & Wildlife Service considers any one an "avid basser" who fishes 15 days per year.  I read this to my wife last night and she is still laughing ;D

I guess that means I'm a avid bass fishing since I have gone close to 40, but too bad it doesn't make me any good.

An "Avid" basser is one that takes self portrait pictures with a camera phone.  They are found in the warm climates like Florida.  Usually of Italian descent and often susceptible to high end tackle.
