I like to use a black buzzbait when it's raining.

Falcon

Is it summer in South Africa?

how cool is that.

suggestion to all new br.comers - If you put your home state or region in your sig line, you will get more and better responses to your queries.

I love topwaters in the rain.  spooks, poppers, whatever works for you.

also the good ole plastic worm is a standby that works well for me in the rain.

In florida the weed choked lakes can get a bit oxygen depleted in the hot summer.  A nice rain shower, lowers the water temp and invigorates the bass further with a blast of much need O2.

Good fishing mate.

Are they weedless

yea spinners are weedless when fished right   i like to throw them around wood   and what they call slow rolling it by slowly reeling it in  and when it hits a branch or something speed it up then pause  it works well  but in rainy conditions i just throw it over ledges ditches or small creek channels with a easy and steady retrieve
