pH range of bass..........

Featured Replies

What is a largemouths' prefered pH range? I was just wonderin'. Thanks!

LBH and I were reading up on this a few months ago. If I remember, LMB can tolerate pH anywhere from 6 up to 9.5.

According to Knowing Bass by Keith A. Jones, PhD, the total range is 410 and the preferred range is 7.48.1(?). That's what the book says, question mark included.

The pH is different in every lake/pond/river. It all depends on whats in the water such as limestone that makes hard water or a lot of wood that can make water softer. As Matt and Marty said they have a wide range of pH.
