ok i know what pitching is...but what exactly is flipping?  maybe a video of someone flipping a bait?

Remember, you take the line in your hand and form a "F" shape figure wehn flipping.

Denny Brauer's book or video, Jig Fishing Secrets, is an excellent learning tool for pitching and jigging.

Pitching, you start with the bait in your hand, Flipping is pulling out line between the reel and the first guide with your opposite hand (hand not holding the rod), and "flipping" the bait to your target then releasing the line in your hand.

the december or january issue (it says "20 best tips ever") of bassin' has an article on the different applications of both and tutorials on how to do them.

flipping is what you do when you see a really hot girl.

Pitching is when you start the smooth moves.

striking out is what usually comes next.

Score is if you get lucky.

If you ever have the chance to watch Denny Brauer give a demonstration of pitching and flipping, jump on it.  I watched him at the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and learned more in 30 minutes than I could have imagined.
