I find myself still going every weekend but just running the boat around 4,000 rpms instead of 5800 rpm.  It's not as much fun to run 45 as it is to run 75 but its more fun at the pump when I'm putting half as much gas in.  My HPDI burns a whole lot less gas at 4k rpms then at WOT.
