fishingnotes.com-Water temps and reports accurate??

Featured Replies

Anyone ever used this site before for your home lake?  I stumbled across it and typed in 2 lakes about 15 mi. a piece from my house and it brought up some reports and water temps not by any one person but direct from the site.  Both lakes had about the same temps.  Could anyone go to this site and then check your lakes water temp there vs what you have seen from being on the actual lake recently?

I don't think this site does any research on each lake. The reports seem very general for this time of year. I checked my home lake and they have a report for Walleye and Sauger and Spotted Bass. That would be great if Clarks Hill had those species of fish in it, but it doesn't. Their reports are based strictly on assumed water temps. The actual water temps are much warmer right now.

Yeah, I thought they were more general but didn't know because I have never fished up north here.  I appreciate the reply FM!!
