Golf course

Featured Replies

I just wanted to know what you think of fishing a golf course. Alot of golf courses are closing down in my area, and that is what i have been doing mostly.  I dont keep any of the fish, cause of chemicals. Any opinion is fine.

Fish all you can

a lot of nice bass come from them

not sure what you are actually asking though

Fish where ever you want as long as it's legal.

Some of the best bass fishing in the world if they are in the ponds.

Very low fishing pressure and they will gobble up Senkos and finesse worms and topwaters.  Other lures can work so give your entire arsnel a try.

You need to obtain permission from course manager or else you can be charged with tresspassing.

Most golf courses close one day a week so fish that day but be ready for golfers to come by even if the course is closed.

Do not litter; release all fish; and be totally invisible.  Do not cause any problems and be very polite to the golfers that may come by.

Have fun.

Just asking what you thought about it.

The absolute best day I have ever had was on a golf course lake in SC.  My friend and I caught 200-250 mainly on buzzbaits and they were all decent fish (2 1/2 - 5lbs).  Probably the reason I am so consumed with fishing to this day 10 years later.

Golf course ponds produce some pretty decent fish, rumor has it there's a  10 lber lurking around in my home course
