I have used Google earth for the same purpose.

I also like this one it has more detail. I can see my car in the driveway with this one.

I use that one myself. The 'bird's eye view' is AWESOME! If you want to print a map off hit the 'print screen' key then open up Photoshop or other photo editing program. Open up a new document and go up to 'Edit' menu and select 'paste'. This will paste the map onto the new document and you can crop it, zoom, etc... then print it. On the pond I want to fish, it clearly shows a submerged creek channel.  :)

    Haha, i thought i was the only one who used Google Earth for that. Its worked 3 times for me now, and I've never seen anybody else at these ponds.

    I went to a guys house today to ask if I could fish his pond and not only did I get a no, his dog urinated all over my wheel and tire >:(
