dropping a bass

Featured Replies

caught a nice bass this weekend and  in the process of getting a photo and weighing him he shook so darn hard i dropped him on the ground...I am 6'1 so he fell pretty hard....when I released him, the algae was so thick he disappeared under it, so I didnt get the chance to see him swim away...do you think he will be ok...

Im sure he is fine. I have had bass slam into the side of the boat during a fight. Only to be caught again another day.

I'm calling the DNR on you right now. ;D

It's all good I'm sure he is fine. It's not like you had stuck a hook in his mouth and dragged him 20yds against his will just prior to that or anything. ;D

So long as he didnt spend too much time out of water or end up gill hooked, I'm sure he's fine. tough critters those bass.

The bass will do fine, the B.A.S.S. pros jerk them in the boat with their fishing rods, drop them on the floor, and spend some time showing them to the camera. Most seem to survive the ordeal. They set such a fine example of fish care,  ::)
