Another PFD reminder!

Featured Replies

I'm as guilty as anybody when it comes to not wearing a life jacket. For last two days they have been looking for three young men who's boat capsized while duck hunting Ky. Lake. One of them is my cousin. It's obvious a life jacket would have saved their lives. I'll be wearing mine anytime my boat motor is running from now on.

CJ, I am so sorry for you and your family.

We think that nothing will happen to us on the water.

How far from the truth is that?

Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

CJ, I am so sorry to hear about your cousin and the other young men. We will keep them and the families in our prayers.

CJ, I'm so sorry to hear such horrible news. You and your family will be in my prayers.

I made a promise to my family that whenever I'm in the boat, I'll wear my PFD. Whether the motor is running or not.

May God give the families the strength to get through this.

Very sad news CJ, I'm sorry for your families loss. We've lost two Grandad/Grandson pairs here in the last month. One pair were found with PFD's in place. Hypothermia took their lives before they could get back in the boat. Be very careful this time of year folks!

A 19 year old was finally located on Ray Hubbard after nearly a  month in the water. The three were thrown out of a jon boat by a wave(?), two stayed with the boat and were rescued. The one lost tried to swim to shore. None were wearing life jackets. The two survivors became disorientd as to where the third went down. They finally found the body using a Hummingbird SI unit 500 yards from the site searched.

WEAR YOUR LIFEJACKETS and STAY WITH THE BOAT!

Sorry for your loss, prayers sent to all involved.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
