fall fishing tips

Featured Replies

does anyone have any tips on fall fishing to share. Im from the northeast, and plan on going out this weekend and need some ideas of baits, times, and structure to fish. Thanks!

Lake Ontario points, with a spinnerbait.

Ill be the first to say it. Check the FAQ's and search. I just got serious into bass fishing this year and the FAQ's provide a lot of useful info. Sorry to do your job mods.

I use a crankbait alot, use it around fallen trees. I have also used it around the pads and other vegetation and have had alot of success.

Shad are on the move, time to watch the birds moving to gain better understanding of Shad movements daily.   Bass won't be far behind.

Early morning and late evening, shallow crankbaits (1-4 feet) and buzzbait near cover.  Any cover, includes even a small peice of moss floating on the water or a couple of lilly pads.  Caught a 2.5# LMB yesterday when I pulled a buzzbait by some leaves floating on the water 6 ft in front of me.  Nearly scared the crap outta me when he hit it.
