natural ponds

Featured Replies

do natural ponds generally have decent size fish? a place i gained hunting rights to also has about a 1.5 acre pond in the middle of it that is stream fed. looks like a nice pond, but it has never been stocked.

Completely depends on tons of things including the size of your pond, which in your case is pretty small, the number of bass in the pond already, food sources, places for the bass to hide from preditors, the amount of time the bass have been in the pond prior to now, and the basses genitic dispostion, all have someting to do with how big bass can get in a pond.

Basically there's no real "general" answer to your question because natural or man made ponds are all very different bass habitats.
