spring time help plz

Featured Replies

This will be my first time fishing in the late winter/spring, with my boat.  Any "rules of thumb" I should be aware of? Baits that are a "must have"?  I have always heard that March and April were the best times so I want to make the best of it.

Thanks in advance!

Step 1. Find a flat that leads to a spawning bay, down here 6-8ft of water is good but that is relative to where you are, and a little grass.

Step 2. Chunk and Reel

Thats what I have been doing for the past couple weeks with pretty good results.

How about an eight to ten inch lizard. Scare those huge females into protecting the bed mode. Texas rig or weightless both work.
