Several people telling me that the bass are leaving there like bacon grease through a pup.

If you're on Facebook, check out Troy Jens' page.

from the picture it looks like someone has been filleting them and dumping the carcass back in the lake.

His page is private. What is supposed to be happening to these fish?

Jumping in coolers and livewells and ending up in freezers across the country.

I'm not one to say anything about people keeping and eating bass.  I'm also quite aware that fish are a guide's bread & butter.

That said, the limit on Guntersville needs to be adjusted according to the stories Troy is telling.

When a major bait & tackle shop on the lake puts up a sign on their door telling meat hunters (fishers) to stay out of their store, you know there's a problem.

Just hope there's some fish left there in June.

Pretty lousy.

I'll eat a few dinks over the coarse of the Summer, but look at that lunker in the foreground. Imagine eating that. I guessing it would be some of the nastiest tasting fish you're likely to find. You'd be better of with frozen cod from the grocery store.
