What are some books that you would suggest reading that are about bass?

I really enjoyed all the tricks and tips in Kevin Vandam Secrets of a Champion. 

In-Fisherman has books on both LM &SM that are very good. Kevin VanDam's book is reported to be excellent I haven't read it yet so my opinon is just hearsay.

Knowing Bass, The Scientific Approach to Catching Bass, by Dr. Keith Jones.

Either one of the two KVD books.

Ike's book is OK and interesting.

"In Pursuit of Giant Bass"  by Bill Murphy

Don't know if there still in print, but Doug Hannon has a couple good books. The In-Fisherman Books are good, in fact must reads IMO. I read these over every winter, good stuff to help with the cabin fever around here.

Waiting for a copy of Big Bass Zone to show up in the mail today. No clue if it's any good, will let you know after I read it.

No one should even consider fishing for bass without having first read: "Spoonplugging - Your Guide To Lunker Bass", by Buck Perry.

Doug Hannon's earlier books were very informative as well. If you are a true trophy fisherman, Bill Murphy's book is an excellent read too.

Simple answer.....read everything you can get your hands on and then start studying what you've read. Big difference between the two concepts.
