What are some good lures for colder water?

Featured Replies

Finally the ice has melted. I live in a S.W. suburb of Cleveland, and we have had a couple nice days but it is still 45-50 degrees out.

I was curious as to what others may throw out there when the water is cold. My first choice is to use lipless crankbaits, but after that I am pretty much clueless. Any help would be awesome.

hair jigs, 3" grubs, tubes, jerkbaits, spoons if you are fishing deep water--20+ feet.  As the water starts getting to 50 and above add spinnerbaits, crankbaits to the mix.
