Featured Replies

i was fishing a few days ago and found two males on a bed in about 5' of water at the edge of the bank and there were three big females in the area and every couple of minutes a female would come to the bed i casted everything i could think of crank baits, frog, worms, lizards, brush hogs,on the out skirts and in the bed. and also the water is super clear its a lime rock pit and the bed is kinda in the corner of the pit  :o :o and how long do must bass bed

"The trick to cathing bass on a bed is....to wake them up first  ;D"

How close to them were you? Try to stay far back enough so that they don't see you. This is very important!

well if the males were all around the bed id say the females havent actually spawned yet. when the males leave the female usually sits on it for a while. then i believe the males come back and help watch the bed. but ive learned no matter what color of water except for EXTREMELY muddy/ no visibuility. the zoom Bright Green 8'' lizzard works everytime. i put the lizzard right on the outside of the bed. not in the bed. and i actually grab my line with finger tips and barely jiggle it. gives the impression of it burrowing in the bed. bass cant stand it. pick it up and move it everytime. be careful tho. there not eating it. there moving it. be smart on the hook set
