First, Thank to everyone who replied.  You've already made me feel welcome!

After reading some articals and your replays, I've decided to use what I have for now.

I did get a Rapala kit that has clippers, 2 types of pliers and a scale.  I saw it while I was at target.  I found an artical on setting the drag and set the drag to 2 pounds (I have 8lb test on may reel).
