question about river smallies

Featured Replies

Hey I like to fish the Leigh River in PA in the fall I walk down by a bride and fish about 200 yds of shoreline and in the  past have done vey well in sevral deep holes in the late summer and fall.

This summer b/c of record low rain fall ther were sevral spots in the river usually under 6 ft of water taht now you could walk across to the other side. While this was good b/c i found holes and pockets i didnt even know were there. The fishing was horrible only in what was left of the deepest holes and the fish were small, were talkin trout small. I posted during this time and it was suggested to look for deeper holes which i tried with no sucess.

Now after record fall rains the river is back up Question will the big fish have migrated back to these old very productive holes, and should i fish the banks thar usually are dry that are underwater?
