dash mount ram

Featured Replies

want to buy a dash mount for a hand held e-trex gps   ram has a couple one is peel and stick or the one that bolts to the dash,

has anyone tryed the peel and stick  if so does it really stick or should i buy the one you have to drill holes in dash thank's

Haven't used those two kinds, but I own the suction cup mount and love it.  I can easily move it from the window in my car/truck to my boat and mount it on the dash.  As long as it's a smooth surface it will take a pretty hard jolt to make it come loose.  Just something to think about  :D

eeekkk..... depends on how much your handheld costs I suppose.  One thats very expensive I wouldn't rely on any type of temporary holder, especially if you plan on using it very often.  If you have a boat that goes any speed what so ever and you fish semi-rough waters I would think a big jolt could knock that off there.  Nice thing about the ram mounts (saying you mounted it with screws) is you can pretty much put any of their attachments off of the same base mount, so if you ever want to take it out you could replace it with a fish finder etc.  Just my 0.02
