WOW BIG Smallmouth on Basstrix

Featured Replies

i finally got time to do serious fishing this week. On sunday i went to a local lake with a good bit of weed cover and alot of rock. Well i put on the basstrix for the first time and casted it just beside some bolders on a weededge. Nothing  i switched rigs and used it on a light carolina rig   i was fishing it about 3 feet off the bottom and every cast i was pulling in a hawg   i caught 8 i think on it   just wanted everyone to know about the smallmouth that actually bite the 5inch basstrix

why not? They love 5" and 6" jerkbaits, paddletails are only a little bigger in profile.

How were you fishing this lure when rigged normally, weedless? Did you cast it out and crank it back fast? Slow? Jerky? Just curious, cause I just bought some similar baits and found that depending on how you hook them, the action changes dramatically. Tried casting it some yesterday on the Quabbin, but the wind drove us off by early afternoon. Downright brutal out there!  >:(
