Smallmouth in Southeastern mich (lake St. Claire)

I am headed here to fish the 6 and 7 of june and wondering if anyone ahd any tips on lures to try or hotspots, I have only musky fished here and want to try to nail some smallies, any advice would be appreciated.'

You can always run into the river and fish Cherry Beech area, American side or Fawn Island right across on the Canadian side. If you go to the Cherry Beech area, move up river past the Marine City Ramp and start your drift in about 12-16 feet and adjust from there, 20-25 feet of water. If you go to Fawn Island, move up past the ferry that crosses up river from the island and you will find some houses just down the way, look for some green and yellow lawn chairs. Go just past that house and get in about 15-25 feet of water and drift all the way down between the island and Canadian shore. Nice fish there.  Green Pumpkin/Candy Tubes always works for me. Hope this helps
