I have fished near the base from boat. If you are fishing from shore it will be a bit different. If it is low tide, and the grass is up throw a buzzfrog or hollow body frog. If high tide throw shallow crank, spinnerbait, pop-r, senko, or a buzzbait. Really whatever your comfortable with.

If you are fishing Lunga Reservior, you obviously don't need to worry about tides.

Memo, this is the smallmouth bass part of the forum, make a post in the Southeast Section. There are some guys there that can help you.

Yeh dominion dan your right. I read over it quickly. When I saw quantico I immediately thought of the Potomac.

That's what I figured, but he might be interested in fishing the river from the base, also. No worries.

sorry about the confusion.

I have been going to lunga in the morning but the I drive by the potamoc in the morning (wildlife viewing area) so i figured i might try it first.

I went yesterday an tried everything i had. i just wanted to see what all i could get away with. i went fishing from the bank. although there where a ton of places where fish where coming to the surface for bugs, flys, insects. i couldn't get a line there. to much weed an grass.

but i will keep at it.

thanks for all the help.
