Juniata  River

Featured Replies

I was out all day with a buddy there today. I started out throwin topwater, then moved down, I eventually found them on a shakyhead. It was slow untill about 8 tonight, or last night i should say. I tied on my favorite night time spinnerbait, a black strike king 1/2 oz/ w/ a colorado blade. 1st cast brought in a 2 pounder. Then after a few minutes i switched over to a jitterbug, 1st cast, had a 2 pound-2 ounce. Then I got another on a spinner, she went 2 pound 8 ounces, then another that went 2 pound 5 ounces. I ended up with 7 fish weighing in at 13 pounds and 6 ounces. almost a 2 pound average, not bad in my opinion. I also lost my pb.  >:( >:(. But, i know he's there. Heres the pics of the 2-8 and the 2-5. It's late, or else i'd post a more in depth story.

nice! my grandparents are from Mifflintown and Port Royal so I know the Juniata a little. It really is a beautiful fishery. I wish I could fish up there more often.
