Potomac River Smallmouth Club event on Sept. 24- Al Lindner to speak!

Featured Replies

The next meeting of the Potomac River Smallmouth Club (PRSC) is on Wednesday, September 24, starting at 7:30 PM at the Vienna Fire Station on Center Street in Vienna VA.

The special guest speaker is none other than Al Lindner!

During a long career spanning the most revolutionary years in sportfishing history, Al Lindner ranks among the most renowned leaders in the fishing industry. He continues to fish avidly for all freshwater fish, averaging about 180 days a year on the water, and is hailed as one of the world's best all-around anglers.

As the host of Lindner's Angling Edge and Fishing Edge television series, Al remains immensely popular as one of the best-recognized angling authorities in North America. Al, however, has always worn many hats, and even his most avid fans may not realize the extent of his past and present involvement with all aspects of the fishing business. Other than finding new and better ways to catch fish, that is.

One of the PRSC members won a contest for the rights to have Al come in to town and talk to the club members. How cool is that?? clapping.gif

So, if you are a club member, you get to come to the meeting early but you MUST let me know if you are coming so we can get an accurate head count!! Here is the schedule:

5:00 PM to 6:30 PM- "social hour", pictures, autographs, glad-handing etc. with PRSC members.

6:30 PM to 7:30 PM- PRSC members dinner with Al

7:30 PM- Lindner speaks until 9:45 PM (open to the public)

If you want to become a PRSC member, there is a special price of $45 for the balance of this year plus next year. Normal membership is $35 a year. For membership, call the PRSC President, John Lipetz , at 703-609-8083.

See you at the Fire Hall!
