Artifical Hellgrammites

Featured Replies

This question is more for prepartion for next year but here goes. I at times do a lot of river smallie fishing and during the hatch at the beginning of the year hellgrammites have always been a good producer. Other than Bud's who makes a good hellgrammite bait? Thanks in advance for any input.

Uh...what's wrong with the "Buds"? Cheap, easy to find and they work great on a DS rig.

Your absolutely right Crestliner the buds are a great product. I was just hoping to have some backups just in case.

I still have and use the ones bigbaitfisher refers to,Lunker City- Hellgies, always seem to work for me on days when nothing else would.Either drifting or very slow trolling with a carolina rig 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 foot leader.Colors-brown cinnamon, black,or smoke.G/L
