just would like to have some info on where to find them on rivers in the pre spawn stage and thee spawning timing, the river i fish has got some steep stone banks but its got alot of flats with some good stone on it to , river is mostly stained with medium flow to it, any info would be great

In the river i fish most of the smallies are either above or below rapids. seems to be the place to be casting if youre gonna catch some. im not positive but i think the smallmouth normally spawn when the water is around 50 to 55 degrees? thats what ive been told but anyway it should be about another 3 weeks away i would think.
