Haven't fished either, but going by the specs, I'd say pick the color you like best.

Edit: From what I've read the Veritas should be a bit lighter, and a tad more sensitive, although sensitivity doesn't play much of a roll for either of those lures. I'm surprised someone with experience with them hasn't replied by now.

Treble hooks = mod/fast.

I have three Veritas rods. IMO, the Veritas is probably a tad stiff for the treble hook baits. I use these rods for soft bodied frogs, and soft swimbaits (skinny dipper/big ez). I don't have any experience with the Vendetta.
