I bought a bag of the big critter craws in the watermelon seed and chartreuse claws color at bps and I took them out to a pond near my house and didn't have any success with them. I was looking for some tips on how to fish and where to fish these. I have been texas rigging them weightless and throwing them by grass and around fallen trees, any tips appreciated, thanks.

i usually fish them as a jig trailer

yea I have also used them as trailers but I wanted to try and use them without the jig.

maybe try a weight at the top, that might make sit in the water more like a natural crayfish, with its claws up in the air.

I have caught fish using the smaller critter craws on a shakey head jig. Would probably work on a football head jig also.
