Daltons Millpond

Featured Replies

a buddy of mine and I are fishing his uncles private pond this weekend. its a 30acre pond in caroline county known as daltons millpond. there are no points on this body of water its pretty much just a long river type lake. its part of the same river and creek system that flows through A.P hill. theres plenty of structure along the banks but not too much in the middle, there is a drop off to a channel running the length of the pond. lots of grass and lilly pads if they're blooming as well. the water is always stained and right now the temp is probably mid 50's. we're goin this saturday and i'm not sure what to throw first. any suggestions???

follow the prey

in ponds like that i like to throw a junebug finesse worm up to the bank and then bump it down, especially under wax myrtles... we have tons of ponds like that around where i live, and that always seems to be where the fish are

Stained water, green pumpkin or watermelon red flaked plastics. Try a black and blue jig as well.
